2017 Top 10 Engagement Locations in Seattle !

Most of my clients ask me for suggestions on engagement locations. So I’ve come up with a list of engagement locations along with sample photos! All these locations are within 15 minute drive of Seattle. Some locations are paired with day and night photos to show you what it looks like at different times of the day. Enjoy!
1. Chihuly Garden & Glass
This colorful museum of colorful glass pieces is perfect for those who like art and want something unique for their engagement photos. Go on weekdays to avoid the crowds. A night time visit will result in very unique engagement photos! View more Chihuly engagement photos here!
2. Alki Beach
One of the most popular place to view the Seattle skyline. The beach itself and the Don Armeni Boat Ramp provides plenty of settings for photos.
3. Discovery Park
The largest park within the city of Seattle! Wheatfields, wild flowers, beaches and lighthouse are all within this park. With so many options, you can spend an entire engagement session here. View more engagement photos from Discovery Park here!
4. Gasworks Park
A view of the Seattle skyline combined with an old gas refinery plant makes this one of the most unique backdrop for photos. The hill top at the center of the park is also the perfect place to view sunsets. View more engagement photos from Gasworks Park here!
5. Kerry Park
Only recommended if you come here early in the morning, or later at night! This park is always crowded with visitors and photographers. But if you can visit this park during the less popular hours, there is no better place to take photos with the Space Needle.
6. Pier 66
Within walking distance of Pike Place market and the Ferris wheel, this rooftop viewpoint shows a lesser known skyline of Seattle. On a good day, you can get Centurylink Field, Safeco Field, AND Mt. Rainier all in the same shot! If you come in the summer, call ahead to make sure cruise ships are not docked since the terrace will be closed.
7. Pike Place Market
A classic location of Seattle! The signature Public Market sign is not the only place to take photos. The surrounding alleys all provide lots unique settings. Check out more Pike Place Market engagement photos here!
8. Pioneer Square
Original Brick buildings, a tree lined plaza, and wide open spaces makes this one of the most popular places to take engagement and wedding photos. The trees here will be a lush green in the summer. During Christmas, the whole places is decorated with lights!
9. University of Washington
Best known for Cherry Blossoms in the Spring and Suzallo Library (the one that looks like Hogwarts). The Quad is beautiful all year round, but if you come during Cherry Blossom season, be sure to come early to beat the crowds. More Cherry Blossom engagement photos here!
10. Woodland Park Rose Garden
Last on this list because this has been a well kept secret! Even on a beautiful summer day, this garden does not gather a lot of people. A gazebo, rose lined walkways, and a small fountains are all features at this beautifully kept park.
